Owner
My name is Daniel Ullsperger, and I am the owner of Nature’s Edge Design-Build. As an outdoor enthusiast, it felt natural to start a business focused on designing and building outdoor spaces. Through our expertise in decking, concrete, and landscaping, we can transform your property into the oasis it was meant to be.
I knew when I started my business that my work had to stand for something greater than financial gain. My “why” had to be bigger than the “how.” To achieve this, I knew I needed to choose an organization to stand behind and partner with. It needed to be a worthy cause on its own and also mean something to me. I have personally received care from a Children’s Hospital when I was younger to which I owe my life, so this was a very obvious choice for me. As my company grows and I gather employees, I hope the aid we provide to Children’s will also inspire my employees to provide high quality work to our customers and influence them to be generous in their personal lives.
Poured to Last
While many concrete surfaces appear similar upon completion, the quality of the pour can vary significantly. Our goal is to provide our clients with a durable product that will preserve its strength over time. This is where the process starts.
✓ For new construction homes, we use a gas-powered rammer to compact the soil base before laying the gravel base.
Standard practice does not compact the soil base.
✓ A 5″ compacted gravel base is installed.
Standard practice is 3-4″.
✓ Rebar is placed perpendicular throughout the project 18” on center.
Standard practice is 24” on center.
✓ Dowels are installed into the home’s foundation 18” in length and 12” on center to deter settling.
Standard practice is 6-10″ in length and 24” on center or dowels are not used at all.
✓ Highest quality cure and sealers are used.

As a landscaping firm specializing in lawn installation, we recognize the expenses associated with this endeavor. To help our clients reduce costs, we implement all feasible strategies to safeguard their grass.
Multi Aggregate Backfill
Our expertise in landscaping allows us to offer our clients the convenience of completing the final details of their concrete projects, eliminating the need to hire an additional contractor. This includes services such as soil and rock backfill, as well as grass planting.
Home Protection
We implement all necessary precautions to safeguard the siding of your home before, during, and after the concrete pouring process.
Return Service Power Washing and Sealing
Concrete requires re-sealing after its initial year of installation. As the contractor responsible for its application, we are committed to offering you the most competitive pricing.
