My name is Daniel Ullsperger, owner of Nature’s Edge LLC. I started the company because I enjoy designing and building practical outdoor spaces that improve how homeowners use and enjoy their properties. Our work includes custom decks, concrete flatwork, landscaping, tree planting, fencing, and other outdoor improvements throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
Community support is an important part of Nature’s Edge LLC. After receiving life-saving care from Children’s Wisconsin, I wanted the company to support organizations that make a meaningful difference for children and families. As the business grows, our goal is to continue giving back while delivering high-quality work to every customer.

Poured to Last
While many concrete surfaces appear similar when completed, the quality of the pour can vary significantly. Our goal is to provide clients with a durable product that maintains its strength over time. That quality begins with the preparation process.
For new-construction homes, we use a gas-powered rammer to compact the soil base before installing the gravel base.
Standard practice may not include compacting the soil base.
We install a 5-inch compacted gravel base.
Standard practice is often 3 to 4 inches.
Rebar is placed perpendicular throughout the project at 18 inches on center.
Standard practice is commonly 24 inches on center.
Dowels are installed into the home’s foundation at 18 inches in length and 12 inches on center to help deter settling.
Standard practice may use 6- to 10-inch dowels placed 24 inches on center, or may not use dowels at all.

Lawn-Saving Preventative Measures
As a landscaping company with experience in lawn installation, we understand the cost and effort involved in repairing damaged grass. We take practical steps to protect lawns and reduce unnecessary restoration costs whenever possible.
Multi-Aggregate Backfill
Our landscaping experience allows us to complete the finishing details around concrete projects without requiring the customer to hire another contractor. This may include soil backfill, rock installation, grading, and grass planting.
Home Protection
We take the necessary precautions to protect the siding and surrounding areas of the home before, during, and after the concrete-pouring process.
Return Service: Power Washing and Sealing
Concrete typically requires resealing after the first year. Because we are familiar with the original installation, we can return to power wash and reseal the surface while offering competitive pricing.
